Malaysia International Passport
Model F : Malaysia 1988 — 1998
From 1988, the Malaysian passport has been changed in size from 95 × 152 mm to 88 × 125 mm and also with a different lamination.
This Model can be divided into two varieties
ISSUANCE, FEE & VALIDITY
PHYSICAL STRUCTURES
The cover was printed using the gold foil debossing technique where the print is pressed into the material to leave a permanent cavity.
On page 1, a handstamp to denote the holder's residence was added before the document's number. A is for a resident of the peninsular (known as Malaya or the Malay States), K is for Sarawak and H is for Sabah.
Description of the holder on page 2 was being printed using Braille Typewriter.
Upon renewal, additional observations regarding previous passport information will be hand stamped on page 31.
Each page has a watermark of the Coat of Arms of the Federation of Malaysia.
LANGUAGES
The document was printed in Malay and English on the interior side of the front cover, page 1, page 2, page 3, page 4, page 5 and page 32.
NEEDLE PERFORATIONS
Needle perforations created a similar size of holes on each page.
DIPLOMATIC REQUEST PAGE
PERMITTED COUNTRIES
In 1994, South Africa was removed from the list.

NOTES & REGULATIONS
CATATAN
1. Pasport dikeluarkan dan dibaharui oleh jabatan Imigresen Malaysia dan wakil-wakil Kerajaan Malaysia di luar negeri. Jika tiada wakil Kerajaan Malaysia di luar negeri, permohonan pasport boleh dibuat kepada Pegawai Diplomat atau Konsol British.
2. Pasport sah digunakan selama lima tahun dari tarikh dikeluarkan kecuali tempoh sahnya ditetapkan dan boleh dibaharui dari tarikh habis tamat tempohnya dengan syarat tidak melebihi 10 tahun dari tarikh dikeluarkan. Bayaran pembaharuan adalah mengikut kadar yang ditetapkan. Pasport baharu hendaklah dipohon jika ruangan visa telah dipenuhi. 3. Pembawa pasport yang melanggar sekatan yang ditetapkan tidak akan mendapat perlindungan daripada wakil Kerajaan Malaysia semasa berada di luar negeri. Pembawa pasport dikehendaki mematuhi peraturan-peraturan imigresen di negara yang dilawatinya serta mengambil visa atau surat kebenaran jika diperlukan. 4. Pasport yang mengandungi butiran anak-anak pembawa tidak sah digunakan oleh anak-anak itu melainkan mereka diiringi oleh pembawanya sendiri. 5. Anak-anak yang berumur 15 tahun hendaklah mempunyai pasport sendiri. PERINGATAN 1. Pasport ini adalah hak milik Kerajaan Malaysia dan boleh ditarik balik pada bila-bila masa juga. Pasport ini tidak digalakkan dikirim melalui pos dari sebuah negara ke sebuah negara.
2. Pasport ini ialah dokumen yang berharga dan tidak boleh dipinda atau diserahkan kepada sesiapa yang tidak berhak memilikinya. jika pasport ini hilang atau binasa, laporan sertamerta hendaklah dibuat ke Pejabat Imigresen yang berhampiran atau kepada wakil Kerajaan Malaysia di luar negeri dan kepada pihak polis tempatan. Di negara luar yang tiada wakil Kerajaan Malaysia, laporan hendaklah dibuat kepada Pegawai Diplomat atau Konsol British. Pasport yang baharu hanya boleh dikeluarkan selepas Jabatan Imigresen berpuas hati tentang kehilangan pasport itu. 3. Warganegara Malaysia yang tinggal di luar negeri hendaklah mendaftarkan nama dan alamatnya kepada wakil Kerajaan Malaysia dengan segera. Tanpa berbuat demikian boleh mengakibatkan kesusahan atau kelewatan mendapat pertolongan dan perlindungan dalam masa darurat.
